This view of eschatology (end times) rejects the position that Jesus will have a thousand-year long, physical reign on the earth. The thousand years mentioned in Revelation 20 is believed to be a symbolic number and that the millennium began with the church age. While Christ’s reign during the millennium is spiritual in nature, at the end of the church age, Christ will return in final judgement and establish permanent physical reign.
